Can you imagine a world without

the Beatles? That’s what struggling

singer-songwriter Jack (Patel) wakes

up to after being hit by a bus during a

freak worldwide blackout. Lucky for

him, he just happens to be the only

person on the planet who can recall

the band’s entire catalogue! Looking

to capitalize on his good fortune,

Jack — whose only fan up to this

point has been childhood pal Ellie

(James), who’s also in love with him

— begins performing the Fab Four’s

hits and passing them off as his own,

catapulting him to superstardom.

But it isn’t long until his sudden fame

brings out the vultures. After joining

Ed Sheeran (who plays a tongue-in-

cheek version of himself) on tour,

he signs with the star’s merciless

manager (McKinnon), who cares

less about the music and more about

making millions.
