The Handmaid’s Tale
● DRAMA / 9pm / C4
June accompanies the Waterfords to
Washington DC, where Fred puts his
grand plan of returning baby Nichole
to his mournful wife, Serena, in motion.
The carefully planned PR strategy involves
filming a horde of handmaids while
they are engaged in mass prayer at the
Washington Monument, and the scenes
are this series’ most iconic and disturbing
yet, which is saying something. But while
Fred attempts to climb the career ladder
by meeting High Commander George
Winslow (played by guest starChristopher
Meloni), June is busy hatching her own
risky plan. Can she actually rely on her old
flame Nick? And can June persuade
Serena to come back from the dark side?
Only time will tell. HHHHHRM

Beecham House
● DRAMA / 9pm / ITV
Call us psychic but we had a funny feeling
that when Prince Akbar gave John that
priceless diamond to flog, there might be
a few repercussions for poor Mr Beecham
- and so it proves when a gleeful General
Castillon arrests John for theft and
treason. To add to John’s woes, he also has
a brutal row with Daniel after finding out
that his brother has got Chanchal
pregnant. However, when John is left
languishing in prison, it’s Daniel who
actually steps up to the plate and embarks
on a mission to try to prove slimy Samuel’s
treachery and free John, with Margaret’s
help. But can they get the evidence they
desperately need? HHHHCC
