ere is a first look at
Sarah Lancashire in
C4’s upcoming new
drama, The Light.
Filming entirely on location
in Wales, the four-parter is
set in the fictional town of
Glyngolau and explores the
story of a forgotten community
devastated by an explosion on
the construction site of a much-
needed regeneration project.
Sarah plays Polly Bevan,
the wife of local politician
Iwan (played by Keeping
Faith’s Mark Lewis Jones) who
championed the project. The
cast list also includes Hold the
Sunset’s Joanna Scanlan,
Sidse Babett Knudsen (Borgen,
Westworld) and Adrian
Scarborough (Killing Eve,
A Very English Scandal).
The series reunites Sarah
with writer Jack Thorne, who
she previously worked with
on C4’s acclaimed drama Kiri.

who discovers a fictitious case
study has a strikingly similar

past. Martin plays a mysterious
character called Daniel.
It is expected to air later
