Serengeti

● WILDLIFE / 8pm / BBC1

Hunger starts to bite in tonight’s episode,
as the animals in northern Tanzania’s
Serengeti wait for the rains to arrive
and with it the huge herds of zebra and
wildebeest on their yearly great migration.
While lioness Kali fights a grown leopard
for a morsel of mongoose, baboon Bakari
is in search of a popular seasonal delicacy

  • crocodile eggs. But reaching the eggs

draws him into croc-infested waters and
forces him up against the baboon group’s
leader in a vicious fight for supremacy.
As the great migration finally begins,
there’s some stunning aerial footage, but
expect a few twists and turns as the herds
and their predators come face to face. It’s
another dramatic and beautifully filmed
episode... HHHHHHD
