RAPPED FOR
INDECENCY
The Punjab police have booked rap-
per Yo Yo Honey Singh for the lewd
lyrics of his song Makhna, which has
got over 200 million views on You-
Tube. The chairperson of the Punjab
State Women Commission had
demanded legal action against the
rapper for using phrases like “I am a
womaniser” in his song. She said it
was “indecent” and had a “degrad-

SHE’S GOT TALENT
After Netflix’s Leila, Huma Qureshi
is gearing up to star in Zack Snyder’s
Army of the Dead. Leila’s director
Deepa Mehta could not stop gushing
about the actor’s talent. She joked
that she would not mind represent-
ing Qureshi. “She is a wonderful
actor,” she told THE WEEK. “I am
thrilled for her. So, she is taking me
on as a manager.” Both women are
fans of Snyder’s films like 300 and
Watchmen.
