Francis Benfatto walks
into a gym, people are
impressed not only by
his timeless physique, but also by his
youthful appearance. Francis is
61-years-old but looks at least a
decade younger. He attributes his
longevity in the sport to the training
system he has devised based on his
46 years of working out.

Here he explains how his system can
improve your physique and slow down the
ageing process.
“I first started bodybuilding at the age of
15,” says Francis. “I was fascinated by a man
who trained in my gym. He was in his 40s.
He always trained hard and looked amazing
for his age. He made me realise this was the
sport I was going to practice all my life.
“At this time, 40-year-old men were
considered old. In fact, most of them already
used the term, “When I was young,” when
they spoke.
“How times have changed! Today, I am
61-years-old and so many people ask me
if I have a secret. My answer is always the
same. My secret is in my lifestyle, in fact my
whole life evolves around bodybuilding.”
For Francis, bodybuilding is a way of
expressing himself. The sport allows him
to work, improve and sustain certain mental
qualities.
“I have endless courage, will,
determination and discipline,” says Francis.
“Thanks to my dedication to the sport,
I also possess strength, power and stamina.
These mental and physical qualities are
unique to the art of bodybuilding. They have
shaped me to become a better person.
“The man I became today is definitely
better mentally and physically than the man
I was before. At the present time, I consider
myself to be a progressionist and my main
