e’re in an age where social
media is king, and image
is everything! As a fitness
influencer I learnt early on that I can
have an impact on others, not only
people local to me but with the help
of social media I can help others from
around the world. Over the last ten
years I’ve learnt if you want to be
successful in the fitness industry
then you must be ‘ready’. This means
staying in good shape year-round!
Opportunities don’t come with
14 weeks’ notice, more like the
weekend before the shoot and
to gain the reputation of always
being in good shape gives you a
great advantage when opportunities
become available.
Every month I will have a talk, expo
or photoshoot somewhere around the
world. So, for me it is vital to be in top
shape 365 days a year.
The easiest way I have found to
Lucky Charm Your
Way to Success
make this happen is to make dieting fun
and sustainable; I eat Lucky Charms and
Pop Tarts every single day and still stay in
shoot-shape all year.
Sound too good to be true? For years
people believed that you must eat a
hardcore bodybuilder diet, consume zero
carbs, juice or any other crazy fad that
would pop up to achieve a lean physique.
But that couldn’t be further from the truth!
What even is ‘eating clean’? There is no
such thing... the simple fact is, if you eat
too much of something this is what makes
it bad and becomes unhealthy.
If you are in a caloric deficit it doesn’t
matter what you eat if fat loss is your goal.
Banning certain foods will only lead to
you wanting those foods more! For most
people that isn’t sustainable and breeds
an unhealthy relationship with food. A
balanced diet is one where you can have
some of the foods you love knowing that
you can still have a good diet overall and
reach your goals.
Find your balance.
