nickname for our Mini came from being
called after the RAF Lancaster, P-Popsie.
We made that trip four up with us in
front and our children in the back seat
with luggage piled all around in every
available space. Time passes and the kids
have grown but the Mini soldiers on.
I have very little in the way of
mechanical skills and am in awe of
what other people achieve. If it can't
be fi xed with cable ties and ga er tape
I am pretty much out of my depth! I
do however know when something is
wrong and like to get it sorted as I like
my cars to be on the button. Sadly, at
23 years old and despite much loving
care, the dreaded rust had reached
the point where something had to
