The haulier said it is adding
new routes and extra daily runs to
its existing programme of JIT (just

‘megatrailer’ operations,
delivering parts from component

locations throughout Europe to
the company’s plants in Germany.
Meanwhile, Imperial Logistics
will continue to operate its WOW

Trailers loaded with these
parts are shuttled from the
production line to the trailer yard,

where they are held for delivery
on demand to BMW’s assembly
plants in Munich, Dingolfing,
Leipzig and Regensburg.
The entire haulage operation is
controlled by Imperial’s control
tower, regularly notifying real-time
location and ETA at destination.
To support this, all Imperial
Logistics vehicles deployed on
the contract are equipped with
tablets and GPS.

Goodyear said its extended
exclusive relationship with the
FIA and the European Truck

technological capabilities and
test new technologies for truck
tyres under challenging and
competitive conditions.
“We are very proud to
continue our commitment to
truck racing, which started 15

said David Anckaert, vice
president commercial Europe,
Goodyear Tyres.
“The special tyres we
produce for the series achieve
two goals – firstly, they ensure
the trucks can perform at high
speed in all conditions,
ensuring thrilling racing.
“Secondly, they demonstrate
the quality of our truck tyres as
all the race tyres use similar
casings to those used every
day on the roads of Europe,”
Anckaert added.
