HOW THEY DID IT
‘Keen to stay close to both our families,
my husband Daniel and I focused our
house hunt on several areas within close
proximity to where we grew up. I was
set on finding something with character
and we were happy to take on a project,
so when our two-bedroom home came
on the market, in need of a little TLC,
we jumped at the chance,’ says Lucy.
When it came to overhauling the
bathroom, the couple had a generous
space to work with, so the aim was to
rework the layout to fit a free-standing
bath and a walk-in shower. Daniel works
in CAD design, so he was able to design
different layouts on the computer, which
allowed for playing around with ideas
to help visualise the end result. Lucy
wanted metro tiles to feature and the
room to become a peaceful retreat.The frame of the shower screen sparked
the idea to source black hardware to match,
and the petal pink accent colour balances
out the industrial feel of the fittings, while
giving the room a sense of calm.
