ARoman secret isrevealed

T

he mystery ofararepieceofRoman glass found
at Chedworth Roman Villa, Gloucestershire, in
2017 has finally been solved. It has taken two years
to prove that the shardwas part ofa1,800-year-old
fish-shaped bottle made in what is now Ukraine, in
eastern Europe. Archaeologists (people who study
evidenceofpast human activityrevealed from under
the ground) say it proves that whoever lived at
Chedworth Villa must have been rich and powerful.
