As is so often the case with classic Ford

owners, this passion was brewing from an

early age. “I’ve always loved cars of all types

— Dubs, American stuff, you name it — but

my main passion has always been Fords,”

says Connor. “My Dad took me to Stanford

Hall for the AVO days from the age of eight

onwards, and I didn’t like it at first because

that field was always full of sheep crap! But

then Santa Pod’s shows came along, and

then I found my Dad’s Classic Ford mag

collection — I was hooked. When I was 17

my Dad and I bought a Mk2 RS2000; I paid

£1000 into the deal and I absolutely loved

that car. Taking it to shows was ace, people

coming up and asking questions, saying

how nice it was, it gives you that bit of pride

in what you own.”
