EXCLUSIVE

I

t’s safe to say Megan
Barton-Hanson has never
been coy when it comes
to her sex life. In fact, her
stripping past and saucy Love
Island antics made her one
of the show’s most talked
about stars – and she’s not
ashamed of it!
When we sit down with
Megan, 25, the reality star
makes it clear she thinks sexual
chemistry is a crucial factor
in a relationship. But despite
admitting to new! back in
February that her bedroom
antics with her ex Wes Nelson
were the “best part” of their
six-month romance, it wasn’t
enough to keep them together.
“I ended it because of
maturity levels and his [lack of]
respect. It was nothing to do
with cheating,” Megan explains.
“The person I fell in love with
in the villa wasn’t the same
person outside the villa.”
Their bitter break-up in
January hasn’t put her off finding
love, though, and she’s now
taking part in the upcoming series
of Celebs Go Dating. So what’s
she looking for this time around?
“A man or woman with an actual
ambition – that’s more up my
street,” she tells us.
And it looks like she might have
found it, if the rumours she’s now
dating fellow CGD star, TOWIE’s
Demi Sims are true!
The pair held hands at the
ITV Summer Party just days after
our interview, with Demi even
cheekily grabbing Ann Summers
ambassador Megan’s bum in
a video posted on Instagram
Stories. An insider claimed that
their relationship is “really
serious”, adding that it’s “the
real deal”. Blimey!
Here, the former Love Island
finalist, who’s bonded with
Lauren Goodger while filming
the dating show, sets the record
straight on finding The One, why

she’s open to dating women
now and why women need to
demand more orgasms...
Hi Megan! You’re currently
filming Celebs Go Dating. Are
you hoping to find The One soon?
It’s definitely a goal of mine, but
I wouldn’t say it’s my ultimate
dream. I want to explore the

world. My mum has been an
amazing mum and I’d love
to be a mum too.
Do you feel under
pressure to become
a mum?
I’m a little bit
conscious of it.
My mum was
pretty young
when she
went through
the menopause,
so it’s in the
back of my
mind because
it can be
hereditary. But
I’m not going to
force something
for the sake of
it because I’m very

stubborn and independent. If
I was getting to my forties and
I still hadn’t met someone, I’d
freeze my eggs.
Did you always want to settle
down young?
Not really. I’m a big baby and
I can barely do my washing and
look after myself. I definitely want
to be a mum, but all in good time.
How fussy are you when it
comes to finding a partner?
I didn’t realise how fussy I am
until I started Celebs Go Dating.
I wanted to find someone I got on
with and didn’t care about their
gender, but I’ve discovered that
I’m very fussy.
Has Lauren Goodger given you
any dating tips?
If anything, I’m giving her
advice! She loves a bad boy
and before Love Island I always
dated geeky people, so we’ve
got completely different types.
I’m telling her that it’s not always
about the bad boy, you need
to pick someone who has
a kind heart and has got their
shit together.
Have you been on any wild
nights out together?
We filmed one date together,
which had a Great Gatsby
theme, and that was really fun.
I’m just trying to
focus on me
and my career
right now
though.
What have
your past
relationships
taught you?
That age is a
big thing. I’ve
been through
a lot and that’s
matured me.
Maybe it’s
not even age
but people’s
life experiences
that mould
them.
