‘I WANT TO

GET MICHELLE

INVOLVED!’

A

s a former TOWIE
star, Jess Wright
is used to letting
the public into her
personal life. But as she launches
her new podcast, Girls#NoFilter,
Jess says we’ll see her like
never before.
“You’ll get such a different side
of me on this,” she tells us. “I
haven’t been on TOWIE for a few
years now, so I’ve grown up a lot.
And we hold nothing back now.
TOWIE was obviously edited so
you only see certain fragments
of people’s personalities.”
The series will see Jess and
her two childhood besties, Gabby
Abrahams and Kelly Hills, discuss
everything from dating to social
media and mental health.
The girls will also be joined by
a celebrity guest each week, with
the likes of her brother Mark
(obvs) getting involved, as well
as some of her Essex pals.
Here, Jess, 33, opens up about
her hopes of getting sister-in-law
Michelle Keegan on board and
reveals her dream guest...

Hi Jess! How did the podcast
come about?
It was an idea I came up with a
while ago after getting inspiration
from different podcasts I listened
to. I just thought it’d be a really
fun thing to do. I have a group of
friends I’ve known since I was

stuff when we’re out for dinner.
I just thought, “Oh my God, I bet
so many people could relate to
this conversation right now!”
What kind of topics do you
discuss on the podcast?
Things like dating, needing the loo
when you’re with your boyfriend,
pop culture and mental health.
We cover all areas.
Is anything off limits?
Not really. We really divulge
on everything. It’s just relatable
and really funny. There’s a lot of
gossip, too. We have different
celebrity guests each week so
there’ll be something revealing
coming out each week I’m sure.
Do you talk about your
relationship with your boyfriend
William Lee-Kemp?
We started recording it a while
ago, so when I was first dating

him – which is quite revealing!
Is he going to listen to it?
He’s like, “I can’t wait to listen!”
It’s been going on for so many
months now – I can’t even
remember what I said.
Your brother Mark appears on
the first episode. Did you have
to persuade him to do it?
No, he was really up for it. Not
only because he wants to support
me, but he was also just really
excited about the idea of the
podcast. He’s known Gabby and
Kelly since they were little, so
it was just perfect. There were
a lot of funny stories.
Did he tell any juicy stories that
you hadn’t heard before?
We’re already pretty open with
each other. We were just giving
our different views on dating. It’s
always good to get a male’s view.

Did you enjoy having your
mum on there, too?
Yeah. She spoke about
motherhood and how things
have changed over the years.
It’s really relatable.
Can you see yourself doing
a podcast with your family in
the future?
Oh God, I’m not sure about that.
We’re all so crazy, so I don’t know
if anyone would ever get a word
in. But you never know.
Do you think Michelle will put in
an appearance at some point?
Yeah, probably. She’s obviously
been away for most of this year
[with work], but when she’s back
I’ll definitely try and get her on.
Who has been your favourite
guest so far?
They’ve all been great in their
own way. As well as my mum

Mark’s been a guest and
she’s hoping Mich will
make an appearance

She’s started the
podcast with pals
Gabby and Kelly
