QUESTIONSWhat was the last box set you watched?
“The Sinner and I’ve just started Succession.
But also I loved Maniac; I love the aesthetic
and Emma Stone is incredible. She’s one
of my favourite film stars.”
Who else do you admire?
“Cate Blanchett is my queen, always has
been. And Charlize Theron, because she
made herself so... not pretty inMonster.
Sally Hawkins, she’s with my manager in
Los Angeles. I heard her name and I was
like, ‘I want that one’ [agent].”
Do you have a signature dish?
“I’m not a good cook, but I’m really trying to
learn because I just did up my kitchen. So I
have no excuse any more, it’s all there ready
to go. I make banana bread, with little
chocolate chips, that’s one thing I’m quite
good at but I’ve not done it for ages.”
Go-to comfort food?
“Mac ‘n’ cheese, I’ve just learnt how to make
white sauce – I’m not sure how good it is yet
though. I actually don’t think you can call any
of these my signature dishes, as I’ve not
earned that yet. I think mac ‘n’ cheese is my
favourite meal, maybe with some bits of curly
kale inside it – or bacon, but I’m trying not to
eat meat – unless it’s sustainable.”
North, south, east or west London?
“My heart has to be with Portobello, so west.
Born and bred there.”
Favourite place in the world?
“I love Ibiza and I love it in the winter. I’ve
been the last few years for New Year’s Eve
and DC10, which is the big club, opens up
for New Year’s Day. There are no crowds, it’s
like all the best bits of Ibiza, but without the
sun. I love the energy there. And then there’s
Glastonbury. I mean, I’m so predictable, for
me it’s Ibiza, Glastonbury and London.”
Any pets?
“We are desperate to get a dog. We keep
researching them. I really want a labrador.
I also love dapple dachshunds. But we change
our minds completely every day. We actually
had a great Dane stay with us recently. He
is called Pluto and was the sweetest thing
you ever did see.”
What’s in your beauty cabinet?
“I love Charlotte Tilbury for make-up and a
really lovely cleanser, toner, moisturiser and
lip balm. I used to like the chocolate lip
products when I was a kid, I’d eat them.”
The last person you followed on
Instagram?
“@ImFrenchButIDon’tSmoke, it’s a really
good one. I’d say I’m a converted Luddite
when it comes to social media. I was coerced
into trying it at first, I’m not going to lie.
I really wasn’t into it and I didn’t get it for
a while. I definitely started late.”
