HEADBANDS
Oversized and studded
at Prada, feathered and
bejewelled at Simone
Rocha and ballerina-style
at Christian Dior – bands
are big news. And there
are plenty of options
available on the high
street, too. Can you think
of a better way to distract
from three-day hair?
We can’t.

TOP TIP
Give the band
space to breathe.
Slick hair back
so it’s not
competing for
attention.
TOP TIP
A striper brush
is a nail artist’s
best friend. Paint
on skinny lines or
dots of polish and
create pictorial
designs. You can
also use the nib
to apply glue and
pick up crystals.

GLASS NAILS
The Adeam show had a fun 90s
feel and the nail art resembled a
microchip board you would have
found in your Game Boy. Cute,
but the translucent talons we really
want to recreate were at Mary
Katrantzou. The show was inspired
by Mary’s own collectibles and
keepsakes so CND nail artist
Tracey Lee modelled the manicure
on a clouche jar and suspended
miniature crystals between layers of
clear gel polish. The idea is
it feels like you’re admiring fine
jewels through protective glass.
