I was born in Germany but grew up in South Africa and then lived
in Namibia for two years. In my professional life, I work with
numbers, paper, sales figures and excel charts, so photography is
quite a different world for me and I am very happy that I have the
opportunity to work in both worlds.When I When I was 16, I had a period where I did a lot of photography
and tried photographing everything. Two years later, I completed
a course in art, but ultimately I did not feel gifted enough, and I
was convinced that I would never become a great artist. However,
art has always interested me and was kind of a secret love. I love
to take photos. It started with flowers, beautiful flowers, magical
grace, beautiful colors and shapes. Until I discovered people,
especially especially women, to express their beauty, grace and passion.I discovered Photoshop about 3 years ago. A wonderful new world
of possibilities opened up for me. To this day, I love to
photograph people and create beautiful portraits and
photographs with the aid of Photoshop. When I’m working with a
model, I try to connect with her, to create a picture that combines
aesthetics and expression. Then I start off with a careful skin
“treatment”. After that I look for a background, a texture, or
sometimes sometimes even 10 overlaying textures, depending on the creative
idea or process. I'm looking for light flares, patterns, overlays
and bokeh. I have a huge library of them. This can really take
hours. When everything is done, I give the whole picture a color
look, that fits, so all the parts harmoniously join in one
arrangement.I still see myself at the beginning. That's why I attend workshops
of well-known photographers who impress me and have their own
signature style. I watch many tutorials to explore photography
and image editing. In the past three years my photographs and my
style has been well accepted in the community. I have published a
number of articles and won several medals and awards for my
creative portraits, especially in International competitions.
