elebrating 11 years of

marriage, Matt and Emma

Willis returned to the

venue they chose for their

special day – Rushton Hall in the

Northamptonshire countryside –

earlier this month. In July 2008,

OK! was lucky enough to be there

when they said ‘I do’ in front of their

closest family and friends.

The couple took three very

special people with them to revisit

the location – their children Isabelle,

ten, Ace, seven, and Trixie, three

• and on their wedding day they
  were also surrounded by their loved
  ones. The guest list included Holly
  Willoughby, Heidi Range, Matt’s
  Busted bandmate James Bourne
  and the McFly boys.
  When a 25-year-old Matt revealed
  he didn’t feel old enough to get
  married, his future wife told him to
  ‘watch your mouth’! Luckily Matt,
  now 36, lovingly replied: ‘I can’t wait
  for us to become Mr and Mrs Willis.
  Imagine that! Me, a married man.’
  However, the lead up to their big
  day wasn’t entirely perfect, with Matt

checking

himself

into rehab

five weeks

prior to the

wedding.

But his

bride never

had any

doubts

that he was

the man

for her. The 43-year-old

presenter, who will soon return to

our screens with the second series of

Emma Willis: Delivering Babies, told

OK!: ‘I never actually thought, I don’t

want to marry him, because I do

want to marry him, but I did start to

think I can’t have this for the rest of

my life... I was so relieved when he

got some help.’

Matt and Emma have since

successfully proved that showbiz and

long-lasting marriages can go hand

in hand. While Matt said at the time:

‘Emma Willis sounds so weird,’ we

now couldn’t imagine the former

Emma Griffiths any other way!
