T
he drama may have been on the court,
but all eyes were on the Duchess of
Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex
as they attended the ladies’ singles final
at Wimbledon. Putting to bed any rumours of a
rift, the royal duo giggled their way through the
match and whispered in one another’s ears.
The duchesses were joined in the royal box
by Kate’s younger sister Pippa Matthews as they
watched Meghan’s close friend Serena Williams
lose out to Simona Halep.
While Meghan dressed in her tennis whites
in a white shirt and Hugo Boss skirt, Kate was
also clad perfectly for the Championships in a
Wimbledon-green Dolce & Gabbana dress.
Revealing Meghan’s support following her
loss to Romanian Simona, Serena said Meghan
is ‘always positive no matter what’. ‘Just having
her in general as a friend is great. She’s such
a great friend and a great person as well,’ she
said. Serena continued: ‘She’s such a fan of
the sport and she too was happy for Simona
[Halep]. She saw that she played unbelievable
and that’s just the kind of person that she is.’
The following day Kate was back at the All
England Lawn Tennis Club with the Duke of
Cambridge for the exciting men’s singles final.
