he dominance of lithium-ion batteries may be coming to an end, if

Samsung’s latest solid-state battery prototype makes it to market.

Solid-state batteries are highly desirable, but someone needs to perfect their

design and manufacture. They use a solid electrolyte, making them non-

energy densities up to 2.5 times that of lithium-based batteries. But one
