colour, and this was airbrushed

over the entire vehicle in thin

layers, leaving the black primer

just visible under it. Vallejo Light

Grey and Light Blue Grey was then

used to add further highlights on

the upper areas of the truck and the

trailer. All the smaller details were

then hand painted with a ine brush.

The kit includes decals for diferent

versions, and I chose ‘Erika auf Urlaub’

(Erika on vacation) – a really fun bit

of graiti on the doors. All the decals

were then sealed in with a Matt coat.

The wooden loor of the trailer was

primed with Tamiya Beige and Brown

as base for the wooden decals, which

Uschi Van der Rosten provides for this

kit as an aftermarket item.

The kit’s wheels are replaced with

resin ones from Custom Scale, and

these have a realistic bulge on the

lower side and were painted in Vallejo

Dark Rubber with Basalt Grey rims.

Unfortunately,

the aftermarket set

did not include the spare

wheel, which is necessary on

the trailer therefore a one of the kits

tyres had to be used for that. Several

tools, boxes, hooks, winches and

further details are provided for the

trailer, which brings it to life. Small

dots of blue, black, beige and white

oil colours were then applied onto

the grey surface and blended in with

White Spirit to achieve a worn-out
