62 SCALE MILITARY MODELLER INTERNATIONAL

Infantry Division,
summer 1944.
After priming I chose
Tamiya XF-60 Dark
Yellow as my basecoat,
applied with my airbrush. To
modulate the colour and bring
in some variation I next began a series of
dry brushing stages which showed up all
the raised detail nicely, especially of all those
hundreds of lovely rivet heads! Then I added
the camoulage stripes using Tamiya XF-64
Red Brown. After the decals were applied
a dark brown wash around the vehicle was

next, and then a very
light rust wash as well
in selected recesses
and at the exhaust for
more colour interest.
Any weathering was
kept nice and simple
with just a very ine
dusting all over with my
airbrush using Tamiya XF-57
Buf and a inal dry brush with
Tamiya Weathering Pastels to bring
everything together and dull down the
decals. When all this had dried the model
was complete and what a great little build
it was, it certainly impressed me with
that great interior and all-round good it
and comes highly recommended.
