further weathering using oils. I added various
streaks using Rust and Brown Streaking
Brushers from Ammo. My fi nal step was to add
a bit of fading and grime to the paint. I wanted
this to be random, due to salt weathering at
sea. I have an Artool Texture FX stencil and
applied thinned down Mr. Hobby Aqueous
Soot to the lighter coloured areas, and a
coat of Dark Sea Blue, lightened slightly by
adding some Intermediate Blue to the mix and
applying random thin coats over the upper
surface of the wing. The staining from the
cartridge ejector chutes was achieved by fi rstly
spraying some Mr. Hobby Staubbraun back
from the openings, before adding some soot to
the centre of the previously applied colour.

Next up was the white, to try and reduce the effect of the white appearing below the red outline. The fi nished marking.

Almost There...
Before turning my attention to painting the
fuselage of the aircraft I decided to get a lot
of the remaining sub-assemblies built up,
including the landing gear legs, the propeller
and wheels. I decided to replace both the
propeller and wheels with aftermarket
parts. The propeller was from Eduard’s

I added the stencils and
kill markings from the kit
decal sheet.

Ammo Oil brushers to build
up the staining on the
fuselage and simulate the
appearance of spilt fuel on
the upper fuel tank.
