InternationalinScotlandortheback
nineatHillside,whereseveralteestake
fulladvantageofthedunes.Closerto
home,someofmyfavouriteholesatthe

Ifspaceallowed,I wouldbeableto
recallcountlessindividualholesplayed
fromraisedtees.Whenyouwalkonto
themeverythingislaidoutbeforeyou,
invitingyoutojustgiveityourbest,
ratherthanfosteringanunhelpful
degreeofvisualuncertaintyaboutthe
holeahead.Somemayarguesuch
holesareofmeritstrategically,butthe
elevatedteeblowsthemawayvisually.

thetee.Whoamongushasnot
experiencedthedeflationofhittingthe
seeminglyperfectdrive,onlytoget

daywhereI canseewhat’srequired of
