slice.Thisdrawset-upwasencouraging
himtohitalotofpulledshots.Sowe
startedoffwithsimilarsettingsonthe
TaylorMademodels,something
draw-biasedwithequivalentloft,andas
expectedhewashittingstraightpulls.
Sowemovedawayfromadraw-biased
driverintosomethingmoreneutral
wherehecouldstarttheballstraighter.
Weactuallytestedashorter3-wood
shaftandallofasuddenwe
dramaticallyreducedhismisstothe
left,becausehehadmorecontrol.We
wentfromaminus-ten-degreepathto
theleftdowntoaboutsixdegrees,so
allofasuddenhewasstartingit
straighterwithlesscurvatureonthe
flight.Webroughttheloftdown,too,
whichbroughtthespindown.Allin all, I
thinkitwasabigimprovement.

Thiswasmyfirstevergolfclubfitting,
soI wasn’tquitesurewhattoexpectat
mylevel.I wasthinkingitwouldbe
tinkeringwithsomethingminorwhenit
reallywasanoperatorissue.I was
actuallybowledoverbyhowthe
patterns,evenwithmyinconsistent
swingsandstrikes,werediscovered.
Thentoseesuchsignificant
improvementsbychangingthespin
rateandshaftgenuinelyblewmeaway.
Seeinghowtheballwaslandingand
rollingoutwasabigeyeopener.Itwas
alsogreatstartingtofeelmore
confidentaboutswingingwithreal
powerwithoutnecessarilyworrying
wheretheballwasgoing.Markfits
reallygoodplayersallthetime,butfor
himtomakesuchabigdifferencetoa
high-handicapperlikeme,I can’tthank
himenoughforhisefforts.The
TaylorMadeM6driveris definitely the
