Wesawanimmediateincreaseinball
speed,thenusingtheFCTloftsleeve
wesquaredthefaceandgotitonthe
settingwherehecouldfindthecentre
ofthefacealotmore.Thenitwasjusta
caseofusingtheweightsontheM5
drivertodialinhislaunchandspin.
Craigwasalsosufferingwithahigh
toestrike,sotheTwistFacehelped
overatraditionalbulgeandrollface.
Movingthelieanglemoreupright
shiftedthestrikepatterntowardsthe
centreofthefaceandhisshotswere
flyinghigherandstraighter.Whenyou
getfaceandlieanglemarriedup,that’s
whenyoustarttoseeamorecentred
strike.Weputoneoftheweightsinthe
middleofthetracktooptimisespinand
theotherinthetoetohold the face
openthroughimpact.

Iboughtmycurrentdriverofftherack
justbecauseitsuitedmybudget.I’ve
alwayshittheballquitelowand
struggledwithatwo-waymiss–I
wouldn’tknowwhichwaytoaimonmy
nextdrive.It’sdefinitelyaweaknessof
mine.WiththeTenseiOrangeshaftin
theM5I couldfeelthedifference
immediately.Theballwaslaunching
higherbutstayingintheairalotlonger.
Itfelthotteroffthefaceandthe
dispersionwasmuchbettertoo–my
misseswouldstillbecatchingthe
edgesoffairwaysratherthanflying
intothetrees.I’venowgottoconsider
tellingmygirlfriendtheweddingis off
becauseI’mbuyingthisdriver!
