withthatinmind,weactuallywenttoa
lower-loftedheadandadifferentface
anglebyadjustingtheloftsleeveup.
Thishelpedhimstarttheballstraighter
andonceheapplieshisnewswing
feelsweknowitwillworkforhim.
WetestedM6initially,butitwas
clearEamonnneededtheextra
adjustabilityofM5.Hisballspeeds
rangedfrom 120 to125mph,whichwas
amuchsmallerdifferencecompared
withhiscurrentdriverandfaster
overall.WiththeinjectedTwistFace,
we’reseeingthatballspeedacrossthe
faceismoreconsistentwhenfitted
correctly,alongwithspinrateand
launchangle.Sooncewefoundthe
rightshaft,alightweightEvnflowoption
fromProjectX,weendedupwith a
reallygoodset-upoverall.

READERFEEDBACK
Recently,mydrivinghasbeen
reasonablygood–I hittheballfairly
straight,sometimeswithatendencyto
fade,butI’dliketohaveabitmore
distance.WhileI’mcomfortablewith
mycurrentdriver,I’mawareit’sdated
andprobablybeingleftbehindinterms
ofperformance.I’vetriedoutafewnew
modelsatdifferentrangesandnot
foundanythingthatI prefer,untiltoday.
WhenI’vecaughttheM5rightit’s
gonefairlystraightandhighertoget
theextradistance.I’mnotreallyinto
aesthetics.IftheclubworksI’lluseit,
butI’lladmittheM5isaverynice
lookingdriver.Youcanseewhereyou
needtohittheballandit’seasyto
identifywherethefaceispointing
behindtheball,which definitely helps.
