Scotty Cameron made his name creating beautiful putters for
the world’s best players, and the latest Select range benefi ts
from the putter maker’s 20-plus years creating putters that
many fans consider works of art in addition to being
high-performing fl atsticks.
Comprising blade models, including the classic Newport
and Newport 2, and mid-mallet designs, the Select range is the
fi rst of Titleist’s putters to incorporate a four-way balanced sole
design for a faster setup and easier alignment at address.
The new sole, which sees weight shifted forward to account
for shaft and grip weight and ensure the putter sits square on
almost every lie, is part of Cameron’s three component focus for
the Select line.
Sight and sound also received the putter maker’s attention,
with thinner toplines and refi ned appearance helping with
alignment, while 30 percent more vibration-dampening material
connects face inlays made of either 303 stainless steel or 6061
aircraft-grade aluminium to the stainless steel bodies. The
combination of multiple material designs achieves premium
sound and feel as well as optimal weighting and balance.

COLLECTION
TaylorMade’s TP Collection putter range
has received a number of updates since
its original release three years ago,
the core design of 303 stainless steel
construction with the company’s Pure Roll
remaining in place through each iteration.
Featuring a range of head shapes, neck
types offering varying toe hang and a
number of fi nishes, the TP Collection’s
Pure Roll insert utilises 45-degree grooves
to promote forward roll and reduce
skidding off the putter face, while also
enhancing feel. The insert is favoured by
some of the world’s best players.
After a strong uptake from the Tour,
the TP Collection Red added a solid red
colourway to the range that was followed
by the TP Collection Black Copper range
that has similarly spent time in the bags
of the game’s biggest names and features
a darker fi nish and red insert.
