our great game or you’re an
experienced campaigner, golf
club membership is something worth
exploring thanks to the ever-expanding
list of a ordable and varied options that
continue to arise.
In years gone by, people were often locked
intoexclusivelyseven-daymemberships

Seven-daymembershipsarecertainlystill

very popular – and they remain an excellent
option for many people – but golf clubs
realise they need to o er an array of options
to capture the entire market.
Junior and intermediate memberships
continue to o er great value for younger
players, who could be viewed as long-
term investments, with the average age of
membersinAustralia(maleandfemale)
recentlyreaching 57 yearsold.
Five-daymemberships,midweek
memberships,familymembershipsandlong-
distancemembershipsarealsomoney-savers,
whilesocialmembershipscontinuetoattract

plenty of non-golfers through the gates.
Some clubs are investing more time
and resources into twilight golf, nine-hole
competitions, digital simulators and social
events to keep their members entertained.
Plenty are o ering various payment options
too, others, meanwhile, remain focused
on smooth-running competitions and the
conditionofthecourseandpracticefacilities.
