Refine your
eye alignment
Because you stand
side-on to a putt
with your head tilted
forwards, your eyes
can play tricks when
you’re trying to look
up and down the line.
Find the position that
works best for you.

Keep your
wrists quiet
To prevent unwanted
wrist movement, I’ll often
practise with a ball placed
between my right wrist
and the putter grip. That
instantly allows me to feel
if there’s any movement
in my hands during the
stroke. If I get it wrong,
my hands will either press
harder against the ball, or
it will fall to the fl oor.

One stroke
suits all
Tiger talks about having two
different strokes depending
on the type of green. I
prefer to have one stroke
and just adjust the speed
when I’m putting on fast
and smooth or slower and
bumpier greens. It’s simpler
to only adjust one element.
