WHAT YOU CAN LEARN
Justin Harding won his maiden European Tour
earlier this year and earned a place in the field at
the Masters, where he hovered near the top of the
leaderboard for most of the tournament.
His victory and form at Augusta drew plenty of
attention to his very eective putting stroke with
a non-anchored long putter.
The South African holds the butt end of the
putter in front of his sternum. He grips the top
of the grip with the left hand and swings the
putterhead back on plane by simply folding his
right elbow back.
This allows him to keep the top of the grip still
and let the weight of the putterhead swing back
and forth easily like a pendulum, which keeps
the putterface square from address and through
the stroke.
If you are missing a lot of putts from close
range, you could benefit from using a long putter
like Harding.
