Lessons
for College
and Beyond
“Learn to write well.
It’s increasingly a lost art.”
“Stop saying ‘like’ so much!
It’s a crutch and makes people
sound less intelligent.”
“Learn to code.
I feel like it’s a skill that everyone
should learn at some point—but sadly
I don’t know how to do it.”
“Beauty fades, intelligence doesn’t.
And the kinder people are, the
more beautiful they become.”
“Make good choices.
A bad decision can haunt you
for the rest of your life.”
And for Mom and Dad:
“Stop texting your kids incessantly!
Give them guidance, but let them
chart their own course.”
Couric shared
the advice she
gave Elinor, 28,
and Caroline, 23,
at an SK-II event
July 10.
KELLY RIPA & MARK CONSUELOS
The Joys (and Risks) of Laundry
With Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’s oldest kids
Michael, 22, and Lola, 18, going to school in their
hometown of New York City, certain things have a way of
disappearing from their apartment. “Michael moved
Mark’s wardrobe into his dorm,” Ripa told People.
What’s worse, he washed the items he swiped. “You don’t
wash jeans!” Consuelos lamented. But Ripa welcomes
a few laundry disasters if it means her kids come home:
“That’s really the only time we see them.”
