Last time I sang out loud

I sing every day at least a few times.

Not only do I sing, but I kind of bend my

knees and drop my butt a little, and I

usually throw my arms out to the side. If

you’re going to do it, you’ve got to sing.

Last time I was starstruck

I yelp if I accidentally walk up on an

athlete. I kind of wave my hands,

and then I grab them. Forever and

ever I’ll be starstruck by Magic

Johnson. And we’re friends. At the very

top is Serena Williams.

Last time I cried

If I’m in public, and I see a baby and

a mom or a dad and I watch them, it

makes my eyes fill up. Just thinking

about their journey. Tears are

my business.

Last memorable dream

That was when I realized that I dream

in black and white. Because I suddenly

saw color—a red heart—in a dream.

And no one speaks, people sort of

chant. I go to an entirely different

world in my dreams.

Last irrational fear

Rats. It’s a fear and a loathing that

I know I need to get over. I’ve been

working on it, but I’d rather someone

gangsta-slap me than to see a rat.
