MY WEEKEND

Tilly Keeper

T

illy made her TV debut in CBBC’s
Millie Inbetween, but is best
known for her role as Louise
Mitchell in EastEnders. The
actress joined the BBC soap in 2016
as the daughter of Phil and his ex
Lisa Fowler, and in the last year
her character has endured kidnap,
pregnancy and a roller-coaster romance
in Walford. Tilly, 21, lives in southeast
London with her family.
‘Most of the time we film EastEnders from
Monday to Friday, but we can work on
a Saturday depending on the storyline.
Normally filming stops at about 7pm on
a Friday evening. I live quite far away from
the set in Watford, so I go straight home
for the evening, have dinner and head to
bed. I’m not a post-work drinks kind of girl

  • I haven’t got the energy!
‘I tend to get up at about 9am on a
Saturday. On a bad day I might lie in until
11am. I like to potter around the house, have
a cup of green tea and watch a bit of Friends.
‘There’s not a lot of cool things to do in my
area. I live in a very quiet place. One of my
best friends lives next door, so we normally
meet up with some other mates that I keep
in touch with from school for a gossip.
‘When I turned 21 I thought I was done with
clubbing, but I don’t think that’s entirely true.
I enjoy going out in London with Jasmine
    Armfield (Rebecca Fowler) and Amy-Leigh
    Hickman (Linzi Bragg) from EastEnders.
We love a good rooftop bar in the summer.
‘Sunday is my favourite day of the week.
In lovely weather I spend the morning at
Columbia Road Flower Market in London
and have a walk down Brick Lane.
‘At some point, I’ll need to sit down, read
my scripts and learn my lines. There’s plenty
more drama ahead for Louise. She’s pregnant
with Keanu’s child and excited but, deep
down, she is struggling. It’s only a matter of
time before she needs to tell her mum the
truth, and she’s not sure how she’ll react!’

EastEnders is on Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri
on BBC1.
