Actress CATHERINE
TYLDESLEY reveals
her beauty, health and
style tips

● Which beauty products do
you swear by?
I love SkinCeuticals and the body
butters by Temple Spa, and there’s
a great exfoliant by Zein Obagi.
Crystal Clear does a really good
range of products, too.
● What’s your hero when it
comes to beauty products?
Benefit BADgal BANG! mascara

  • that’s hands down the best I’ve
    ever used.
    ● Do you have any top
    beauty tips?
    Beauty begins on the
inside – it all starts with
    good nutrition. If you’ve
    got bad skin, look at
    what’s going into your
    body before you do
    anything else. And
    think about gut health
    because the gut
    controls everything.
    ● What is your signature
    fragrance?
Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud
Cologne Intense. I love it. I think
anything with roses in is gorgeous.
    ● How do you stay in shape?
    My husband Tom [Pitfield, a
personal trainer] and I try to do
as much as we can as a family. We
    love walking and swimming with
our four-year-old son Alfie. I also try
to do a minimum of two weight-
training sessions a week, and two
    cardio sessions on my own.
    ● If you could change one part
of you body, what would it be?
Just one? [Laughs] I’m reluctant to
    say anything, because I’m really

● Do you diet?
No, I don’t believe
in it at all. I think as
soon as you tell
yourself you’re
going on a diet,
you just want to
eat all the things
you can’t have.

trying to accept myself and what
I am these days. It would have
been my legs, but I’m trying to turn
what I used to perceive as a
negative into a positive and say,
‘Do you know what, I have got big
legs, but it’s muscle and I’m strong.’
● How do you pamper yourself?
I’m a huge fan of Dr Jonquille
Chantrey facials – they’ve been an
absolute game-changer for me.
● What’s your guilty pleasure?
Chocolate. I’m lactose-intolerant,
but Booja-Booja dairy-free
chocolates are
unbelievable.
● How would you
describe your style?
Classic. I love the
1940s and 1950s

  • anything that goes
    in at the waist, that
    real tailored look.
    ● Do you have a
    favourite shop or designer?
    French Connection and Karen
Millen. And an online site called
    Dancing Leopard.
    ● What’s been your most
    expensive purchase?
    My quilted Chanel handbag,
which was a real treat. I got
that when I first started on
    Coronation Street, and I was
like, ‘This is for me – happy
    birthday to me!’
    ● Who is your style icon?
I do love Victoria Beckham and
    Holly Willoughby. And looking
    back, Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn
    Monroe were just incredible and
    always looked stunning.
