Why study the nature of thought?

To fully understand how we do any of the things we do (such as learning, remembering, and behaving), we need

to understand how we think. How do we organize our thoughts? How do we communicate those thoughts to

others? What do we mean by intelligence? Why are some people able to learn so much faster than others?
