2. Join the BC units. Add the
   remaining B to the right end of the
   point unit.

Add last B.

3. Add an A and Ar to each end of
   the point unit.

4. Add D to the inside edge of the
   point unit.


5. Add E to the outside edge of the
   point unit.


6. To add bias detail, cut a teal piece
   of bias 1 ̋ × 10 ̋; then press it in half
   lengthwise, wrong sides together.
   With a small stitch length, sew 1/8 ̋
   from the fold.


7. Insert the 1/8 ̋ bias bar, trim the
   seam allowance, and then move the
   seam allowance to a flat side of the
   bar. Dampen, press dry, and let cool.
   Remove the bar.


8. Leaving short tails at both ends,
   lightly glue baste the bias in place;
   then hand appliqué both edges.
   Trim the tails even with the block
   edge.


9. Appliqué 4 F and 4 G circles to
   the B pieces following the appliqué
   directions on pages 112–113.
   Refer to the photo on page 99 for
   placement.
