TO DRAFT A 3 ̋ (FINISHED) HEXAGON:


Option 1



  1. Using the compass, draw a 3 ̋ circle.

  2. Draw a line through the center of the circle, labeling
    where the ends of the line touch the circle (A and B).

  1. Using the compass, draw a half-circle: Place the pivot
    point of the compass at A and the pencil at the center of
    the circle. Draw the half-circle from one side of the circle
    to the other.

Draw a half-circle.


  1. Repeat Step 3 from the B pivot point.

  2. Connect the 6 intersections around the circle to
    create the hexagon. Evaluate and erase all unnecessary
    lines, leaving only seamlines.

Connect the intersections.

The place where the circle line and the mark you
made with the compass intersect is the exact point at
which you are connecting one intersection to another.

Option 2



  1. Using your compass, draw a 3 ̋ circle.

  2. Without changing the size of the compass, move the
    pivot point from the center to anywhere on the circle
    line. Swivel the pencil to make a mark over the circle
    line.

Draw a circle and mark the points.


  1. Move the pivot point of the compass to the pencil
    mark on the circle line. Swivel the pencil to make a
    second mark on the circle. Repeat this process until you
    have 6 marks on the circle.

  2. Connect the 6 marks to create a hexagon.
