6-Pointed Star #1 Block

Six-Pointed Star blocks are a common patchwork design
that is developed by drafting six 60° diamonds within a
hexagon. This star (#1) aligns the points of the star with
the midpoints of the sides of the hexagon. Six-Pointed
Star #2 (at right) aligns the points of the star with the
points of the hexagon.

  3. With a red pencil, connect opposite midpoints.

  4. With a blue pencil, connect every other midpoint to
    create a blue triangle.

  5. With a green pencil, connect the remaining three
midpoints to create a green triangle.
