World Without End Block

A World Without End block is cre-
ated by rotating the four quarters of
a Kaleidoscope block 180 degrees.

TO DRAFT A 6 ̋ (FINISHED) BLOCK:



  1. Draw a 6 ̋ Basic Underlying Structure (page 45).

Draw the basic underlying structure.


  1. With a red pencil, connect each A to the second B,
    working clockwise from the top A. This creates the on-
    point square.

  2. With a blue pencil, connect each outside corner to 2
    adjoining corners of the red center square; repeat 3 more
    times.

Connect A’s to B’s; then connect the outside
corners to the red corners.


  1. Erase all unnecessary lines, leaving only seamlines.


Mother’s Delight
Block
This block takes World Without
End (at left) just a couple of
steps further.

TO DRAFT A 6 ̋ (FINISHED) BLOCK:


  1. Draft a 6 ̋ World Without End block (at left); do not
    erase any lines.

  2. Where the horizontal and vertical lines meet the
    outside edge of the block, label those 1. Where the
    diagonal lines intersect with the side of the red square,
    label those 2.
