6 ̋ Star of Many Points block

Sum of parts: 4.828

  1. 6 ̋ ÷ 4.828 (sum of parts) = 1.2428 = 11/4 ̋, which is
the size of the A square, B triangle, and C diamond.

  2. To find the size of the D square, notice that the side
of the D square is the same as the distance across the
side of the two C diamonds; therefore the square is 21/2 ̋
    (11/4 ̋ twice).

uuuuuu Noteworthy uuuuuu
A Carpenter’s Wheel block is always twice the size
of the small star at its center, and the size of the star
in the center is always half the size of the block. The
Carpenter’s Wheel block is the basic structure I used
to design Sedona (page 116).

Sum of parts: 6.828

  1. 6 ̋ ÷ 6.828 (sum of parts) = 0.8787 = 7/8 ̋, which is
the size of the A square, B triangle, and C diamond.

  2. As for the size of the D rectangle, the short side is 7/8 ̋
and the long side is 13/4 ̋.
