Love Tassel

In this tassel, the head and cords all originate from one center, hence the
connotation of “love.” All that is required is to fasten, invert and refasten a
bundle of cords.

Tying

Fold a bundle of cords in half and fasten them at the bend with a thread,
then smooth out any tangles. At a suitable distance from the first thread, tie a
second one to form the tassel head. Invert the tassel head so that it is covered
by the cords, then fasten the cords with a third thread. If a bigger head is
required, try fastening, inverting and retying the cords until the desired size
is reached. The head can also be made firmer or bigger with cotton, cloth,
paper or a ball-like object. To attach the tassel to an already completed knot
formation, insert the cord ends of the knot formation into the tassel head
with a crochet hook and sew in place.

Tips

  • Tidy the tassel cords before every step to avoid entanglement.

  • Make sure that each tassel cord falls evenly from the center so that the
tassel head is completely and evenly covered.
