Start the knot formation on this evening gown at the
bottom. Fold a cord into two unequal lengths and tie
a cloverleaf knot (1) followed by the right-hand side of a pros-
perity knot (3). Extend the top right side loop of the prosperity
knot into a cloverleaf knot (2). After completing the prosperity
knot, tie another cloverleaf knot (4). Separate the cord ends
and tie the right one into a cloverleaf knot (5). Bring both cord
ends together and tie another cloverleaf knot (6), then another
(7). Then tie a series of equally spaced creeper knots. Hook up
cloverleaf knot 7 with the outer loop of creeper knot (8). Ex-
tend the outer loop of creeper knot (10) into a cloverleaf knot
with two outer loops (9). Extend the outer loop of creeper knot
(13) into a cloverleaf knot (12), then extend the top outer loop
into a ru yi knot (11). Extend the outer loop of creeper knot (15)
into a cloverleaf knot with two outer loops (14). Extend the
outer loop of creeper knot (18) into a cloverleaf knot (17), and
extend the outer loop into another cloverleaf knot (16). For the
rest of the creeper knots, tie their outer loops into alternating
two outer-loop cloverleaf knots and plain cloverleaf knots.
After completing the knot formation, sew it down the front
and around the neckline of an evening gown (or day dress).

Start the knot formation on this evening gown from the bottom. Fold a cord and tie a pan changknot (1) followed by a double connection
knot (2). Then tie a round brocade knot with fourteen outer loops (15). Extend the second and sixth outer loops on the right side into
cloverleaf knots (3, 4). Repeat on the left side (5, 6), making sure that both sides are identical. Weave a gold cord into round brocade knot 15 and
tie an outer loop in between every second cloverleaf knot, as shown above. Extend the fourth outer loop on each side into a round brocade knot
with six outer loops (10, 14). Extend a cloverleaf knot in between every second outer loop (7–9; 11–13). After completing the weaving, hide the
gold cord ends inside the knot body. Use the original cord ends to tie a double connection knot (16), a pan changknot (17), a hui lingknot (18), a
double connection knot (19) and a butterfly knot (20). Weave two more gold cords into the inner side of the hui lingknot and the butterfly knot,
as shown above. After completing two rounds with the gold cord ends, tie each into a cloverleaf knot (21, 22). With another two gold cords, deco-
rate the gown with curved lines and circles, as shown. Finally, sew pieces of the original cord inside the circles on the curved lines.
