To make this ornamental knot
(see photograph page 12), which
is suitable for sewing on clothes and acces-
sories, tie two separate cords into mirror-
image dragon heads (1, 2) (see Chinese
Knotting, page 68). Tie the bottom part of
each dragon head into a double connection
knot, then tie all four cord ends, using the
knotting technique of both cord ends (see
page 14 above), into three double connec-
tion knots (3). Separate the left and right
cord ends and loop each one separately, as
shown, then bind them with fine thread.
Finally, sew a bead onto each of the dragon
heads to form eyes.
