Get a mentor.
‘Choose wisely

    know the landscape and
    can give you perspective.’

Know the upside
of being the
boss. ‘People often
feel intimidated about

taking on a top job because
they’re fearful of being
overwhelmed. Remember,
if you’re the boss, you get
to set the agenda, for
example, flexible working.
And the rewards can be
great,’ says Fenwick.
