bathroomwitha separatetoiletanda powderroom.
Wealsopaintedthroughout,rippedupthecarpetand
polishedtheconcretefloors– buttheconcretewasn’t
workingforussowecorkedthelivingareasand
carpetedthebedroomsandarethrilledwiththeresult.
Howdidyouwantyourhometolookandfeel?
Ultimatelytheinteriorneededtosuitthestructure.
Wewanteda homewithwelcomingspaceswherewe
couldrelaxandcreate,andprovidecomfortable
accommodationforguests.Welikeourhousetohave
characterbutbynomeansbepretentious.With
activeboysandpetsit neededtobedurable.
Howdidyougoaboutchoosingwallcolours?
I wanteda neutralthroughoutthelivingandbedroom
spacestocreatecohesion,providea backdropfor
ourfurniture,artanditems,andenhancethe
architecture.Theoversizedfrontdoorwascryingout
tobethecentreofattentionsoa boldyellowit just
hadtobe.Beingthesmallestroomsandoutofsight,
thebathroomsweretheperfectplace to break with
theneutralsandaddcolour.
Howdidyoudecideonblueforyourbedroom?
I wantedtoincludea deepercolourtoaddrichness,
butanythingtoodarkwouldn’thaveworkedasit’sa
lightroomwhichgetsfloodedwithmorningsun.
