MIRRORS
Twenty-four arched mirrors
framed by cherry molding
run the length of the dining
room. Why so many?
Because partner Eugene
Tollner, a student of human
psychology, believed
customers would grow
weary of paintings
but never tire of looking
at themselves.

LINCRUSTA
The original hand-etched
wall-covering style was
invented in 1877 by the
guy who also came up with
inoleum. Six staterooms
on the Titanic were fairly
swathed in the stuff.
