HANDELIERS
The original light
fixtures have long been
wired for electricity as well
as gas, but dining by
the glow of gaslight is no
longer an option.

CEILING
The material was “a source
of great anxiety,” says
partner Ben Schneider.
Having deemed gold leaf
iny enough to upstage the
lights, the team opted
instead for Venetian plaster
coated with silver wax in the
center section and bronze
paint in the coves.

HAT HOOKS
They were sized to
accommodate top hats,
stovepipes, homburgs,
and assorted other
sky-scraping headgear
of the day.
