began my art career as a graphic
designer/illustrator. In that capacity,
I designed book covers, ads and
consumer brochures, and created illus-
trations for children’s books, edu-
cational publishing and short stories.
Illustration became my passion, as
most of my assignments centered
around drawing images that depicted
