TIME TO TRY
IT YOURSELF
Find a subject about which you’re pas-
sionate—one that sends you into your
studio or workspace with one thing
on your mind : painting. We as artists
already have a “calling,” so to speak,
to create something that’s distinctly
our own. When we couple that with
a subject matter that we love—and
one with which we have a compelling
story to share through our creative
eff orts—good things can happen. WA
